Today's San Francisco Chronicle carried an article about Obama meeting with three black leaders re jobs. The participants made a point of their focus being regions where the need for help is greatest, not jobs for blacks. Present were Obama, the presidents of the NAACP and National Urban League, and Reverend Al Sharpton [!], founder of the National Action Network.

Not present were members of the Congressional Black Caucus. On December 9, 2009, caucus members wrote to Obama, asking for help for the poorest Americans. They had blacks in mind, of course, but sought help for census tracks where 20% of the residents had incomes below the federally defined poverty line.

This meeting is good news for pro-Americans. If Obama has to recognize a need for helping Americans, he'll weaken his case for legalizing illegals.

Americans first in this magnificent country.

Fair trade, not free trade.
