Military Vents About Administration’s Lack Of Foreign Policy: ‘Frustration & Confusion Reign’

Troops affected by the deployment of ground forces to Iraq have expressed their anger and frustration at the Obama administration’s stated foreign policy of “we don’t have a strategy yet.”
Fox News host Bret Baier received an email from a friend who works as a special operator who has been in touch with fellow soldiers who are some of the troops sent to Iraq by President Obama.
Being sent back to the war-torn country with the lack of a clear objective has clearly caused some anger among U.S. troops.
via Fox News:“I’m getting notes from the guys over in these operations centers in Iraq. Frustration and confusion reign. On Sunday’s Meet The Press, Andrea Mitchell asked NBC reporter Richard Engel about the President’s “reluctance to take the fight against ISIS to Syria.” Engel replied that military commanders are “apoplectic” over the President’s repeated empty threats and his admission that he does not have a strategy. Hot Air reports:
*
Their commander in chief has deployed them back into harm’s way with a defensive mission to only defend US facilities against ISIS, that it’s not a US problem to solve, and the Iraqis must get their act together politically.
*
Now today he says we are going to destroy and degrade ISIS, and in the same sentence that we are going to only manage them. Then we have our Vice President in a Howard Dean moment.
*
My favorite quote of the day from an operator downrange ‘Chase them to the Gates of Hell? How the F$&k are we going to do that when we can’t even leave the front gate of our base!?’”
And active military members aren’t the only ones who are frustrated.
Concerned Veterans for America CEO James Hegseth has been outspoken about his criticism of the President’s lack of strategy – especially after we learned that he had been briefed on the dangers of ISIS over a year ago and has still not developed a plan.
The military’s frustration with the lack of strategy is just the tip of the iceberg of the uneasy relations between Obama and the military.
From the President’s visits to West Point to his speeches before veterans, it’s clear that many current and former soldiers don’t know what to make of the Commander-in-Chief.
