    Rasmussen: Obama Approval Index Month-by-Month

    Obama Approval Index Month-by-Month

    Sunday, November 01, 2009

When tracking President Obama’s job approval on a daily basis, people sometimes get so caught up in the day-to-day fluctuations that they miss the bigger picture. To look at the longer-term trends, Rasmussen Reports compiles the numbers on a full-month basis, and the results can be seen in the graphics below.

The president’s ratings dipped slightly in October after stabilizing in September.

If you look at the second graph they are - it shows an average of a 48% approval rating which is below the 50% mark.

Also they have been in the negative since July when looking at those who "strongly dissaprove" vs those who "strongly approve". More people have "strongly dissaproved" since July and the number continues to grow.

You have to remember that there are still polls (like Gallup) that are showing Obama's approval rating at 55%.

I think Rasmussen has a better poll sample, as Gallup polls heavy Democrat, based on percentages of registered voters. BUT many Republicans are now registered as Independents due to the McCain/Kennedy bill and others in the party (Amnesty Grahmnesty) like him.
