Rep. Alan Grayson
Getty ImagesRep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) has sent out 100,000 DVDs to the residents of Lake, Marion, Orange and Osceola counties which make up the Congressional district the first-term Democrat represents. The 90-minute video is comprised of carefully selected highlights of Grayson’s time in office and comes in a wrapper announcing: "Congressman Alan Grayson, Hard at Work for You, He gets things done…Watch Congressman Grayson in Action!"

Grayson, himself, narrates many of the 31 separate clips, one of which shows him grilling Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. Much of the video is filled with diatribes from Grayson wearing an American flag tie, sitting in front of a photo of the U.S. Capitol.

The DVD cost $73,000 to produce and mail to Grayson’s constituents, all of which was paid by the U.S. taxpayers. The Florida Democrat took advantage of the absurd perks given to Congress…like no other has.

Republican state legislator Kurt Kelly of Ocala, told Fox News: “This is just ridiculous behavior. What congressman would do this in the face of a huge budget deficit?"

Ironically, the video begins with Grayson bragging about his efforts against government waste.

Grayson says: "I've put together this DVD so you do not have to sit through hours of hearings or read thousands of pages of transcripts to find out what your representative is doing to combat waste, fraud and abuse in government spending."
