Shocking: Jim Moran says military service is not public service

Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA-08 ) made these disgraceful comments at the Arlington County Democratic Committee meeting on October 6, 2010. He says his opponent, Patrick Murray has "not performed any kind of public service." Murray is a retired U.S. Army Colonel who served for 24 years, including deployment to Baghdad in 2007.

Moran can't say he misspoke, because he proves he knows about Murray's military service with his next comment, where he tries to politicize Murray's service.

His comments are offensive. He needs to apologize not only to Patrick Murray, but to all who have served our great nation in the best possible way, the military.
