The immigration status of the offender wasn't mentioned here but I found this story so disturbing I decided to post it. And what are they doing about the child's family who left her alone in a car while they partied??? This baby should have been asleep in her bed waiting for Santa!

Fresno County sheriff’s deputies have arrested Juan Gomez-Jimenez, 24, of Fresno in the abduction and beating of a 4-year-old girl early Christmas morning during a gathering near Raisin City.

The girl had been sleeping in a vehicle while her family celebrated the holiday at a home on Cornelia Avenue east of Raisin City. She was found naked and beaten, and her family took her to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

Gomez-Jimenez was booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, kidnapping and sexual assault of a child under 14.


10:30 a.m.: Fresno County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man in the abduction and beating of a 4-year-old girl during a Christmas Eve gathering near Raisin City.

The girl had been sleeping in a vehicle while her family celebrated the holiday in their home in the 9400 block of South Cornelia Avenue. She was found naked and beaten, and her family took her to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Nurses there said she was in stable condition.

The sheriff’s sex crimes unit investigated, but deputy Chris Curtice said this morning he had no other details or the identity of the arrested man. Curtice did say the girl’s family members were not involved in the crimes.

HUH?!?! If they were celebrating in their own home, why the hell did they leave her asleep in the car? What? She was too heavy to carry inside?

Curtice did say the girl’s family members were not involved in the crimes.

Why the hell not?!?! Criminal negligence, abuse of a minor are some things they should be charged with!

Sounds like an illegal alien rape and pilliage grab and nab.

Someone should follow up on this story by contacting the reporter and asking for the legal status of the perp.

You can also call the jail they have him in and ask for the jail information officer and ask if an immigration hold has been placed on this suspect.

this sickens me to no end... what is the matter with these people where partying takes precedence over being a TRUE parent. No wonder so many children end up in gangs from South of the Border... PUT up the Fence and Deport them all now

Family values are completely absent .....

Fresno County, CA, USA (KFSN) -- Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies said a four year old disabled girl is in stable condition after being found partially buried in a vineyard.

They said she was kidnapped during a late night Christmas celebration at a home on Cornelia near Raisin City, then sexually assaulted and left for dead.

Investigators said adults noticed the little girl had been taken from a van just after midnight, where she had been sleeping with other children while they offered Christmas prayers. "They immediately spread out, they started searching the surrounding area and they located the four year old in a nearby orchard," said Deputy Chris Curtice with the Fresno County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators said the little girl was naked and had been assaulted. Family members rushed the child to Community Regional Medical Center. That's also where her suspected kidnapper showed up and was taken into custody. "He was complaining that he had been the victim of an unrelated assault so the deputies and the hospital security started talking to him. It was apparent that he was not telling the truth and he was ultimately linked to the assault of the four year old," said Curtice.

Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies said it's possible the suspect had attended the Christmas party. Friday, farm workers told Action News up to 150 people attended that party and candles could be seen outside of a home where Christmas prayers were offered. It was a party meant to celebrate the birth of Christ, but ended with a heinous crime.

The suspect, 24 year old Juan Gomez-Jimenez is in the Fresno County Jail, facing charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, and sexually assaulting a child.

Fresno Man Arrested For Sexual Assault and Attempted Murder of Toddler

Raisin City, CA- A Christmas get-together took a tragic turn Thursday for a small child in Raisin City.

Within minutes, the holiday party of over a hundred people turned into a search party for a missing 4-year-old disabled girl. "Everything was okay until that happened," said Lauro Beiterbo.

Beiterbo and others had gathered for a prayer around midnight, when they were interrupted by word that the 4-year-old disabled girl was missing.

"All the women were crying, they were all nervous and scared and they grabbed on to their children," Urial Beiterbo said.

Partygoers spent around 40 minutes searching for the small child before one man made a horrifying discovery. "First he saw a blanket, then a little shoe, socks," said Beiterbo. The man was in the middle of a vineyard when, Beiterbo says, "He saw the little girl's foot was buried; just her little foot was sticking out. The rest of her body was inside the ground ."

The find turned the once festive event into something straight out of a nightmare."I was scared," Beiterbo said, "I was like that's just crazy."

Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies were immediately called to the scene. Witnesses say the child was naked, and may have been sexually assaulted.

Unresponsive and bleeding, the girl was rushed into the house, and taken to a local hospital. Her condition has not been made available.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crime. Right now they only say they have a suspect in custody, who they believe was at the party.

A man is behind bars, in connection with the sexual assault and attempted murder of a 4-year-old girl on Christmas morning.

Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims announced the arrest of 24-year-old Juan Gomez-Jimenez on Friday.

Gomez-Jimenez is accursed of taking the girl from her family's car, where she had been sleeping, and sexually assaulting her before partially burying her body in a vineyard. The girls family had been attending a Christmas Party at the residence during the time of the incident.

Partygoers later found the girl in the vineyard, and rushed her to Community Regional Medical Center.

According to Mims, Gomez-Jimenez was arrested after he too arrived at Community Regional Medical Center claiming to be a victim of an unrelated assault. Upon further questioning, deputies became suspicious of Gomez-Jimenez and a further investigation implicated him in the assault of the toddler.

Gomez-Jimenez has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and sexual assault of a child under 14.
