Letter I just recieved from Sen. Menendez concerning SPP

Here is a letter I just recieved from my Senator concerning SPP, NASCO, Nafta super highway and his opinions on these topics. He is definately a NAU supporter

    Dear_____________

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) OF North America. I appreciate hearing your views and the opportunity to respond to you on the this important matter.

Like you, I believe that securing our borders is an integral component of any comprehensive immigration reform. That was made evident by my vote for the Sessions amendment to H.R. 5631, The Department of Defense Bill, appropriating $1.829 trillion for the Army Nation Guard to construct a border fence. Additionally, I supported S.2611, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, which authorizs the construction of 370 additionl miles of border fences and 500 miles for vehicle barriers along the border.

Our national security is paramount, however our transportation infrastructure and a more expansive highway system are also essential, providing us with the ability to move not only people, but goods freely and efficiently throughout our country. In terms of a "NAFTA Superhighway", there may have been a misunderstanding. I would like to share with you an excerpt from the North American SuperCorridor Coalition's (NASCO) WEBSITE.

"Recently reports from the Internet have confused the terms "NAFTA Superhighway" with NASCO corridor. The "NASCO Corridor" is the existing infrastructure of Interstates 35,29 adn 94. No plans are in place for a mid-continent NAFTA Superhighway... the federal government has directed more than $234 million in project funding towards the NASCO Corridor for current infrastructure improvements.

I believe there are great economic opportunities afforded to the United States by hemispheric cooperation. The Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) is an initiative between the US and the two nations who share borders - Candada and Mexico- to increase security and enhance prosperity among the three countries through greater cooperation. According to the SPP, they are not considering the creation of a European Union-like cooperation. Their initiative includes improving productivity, reducing the cost of trade, and enhancing the quality of life in our region. With all three nations working together, we can be more efficient in terms of customs, border patrol and transportation. I believe we can have dialogue between nations that does not pose a threat to our sovereignty, but can provide an opportunity to increase the standard of living in all three nations.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I may be of additional assistance, and visit my website

    Sincerely,

They can call amnesty a path to citizenship, legalization, temporary guestworker program or whatever they want and they can call the NAU whatever they want but they are not fooling the American public. These letters make me furious! What an insult to the intelligence of their constituents. I also received a letter from Senator Lugar denying the NAU. As far as I am concerned he might have well put in big letters at the top of the email, ' I KNOW YOU ARE AN IDIOT AND I HAVE A BRIDGE I WOULD LIKE TO SELL YOU' THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR AN NAU!

    Sincerly,

    Sen. Robert Menendez
I don't know what to say Mr.Menendez, but south America is building a super high way through their heart. Sure we need improvements in the free way system; but it should be free for all Americans to enjoy, not some toll road. Mexico needs to rise there standards if they went to trade with us. We don't went none of it intill then or any of their people going the bath room in our food supply. Once they do, then fine we can be friends and work together a "little". But only at the interest of the Ameriacn people. Mexico as it currently is, is one of the saddest sights on god green earth. Now as long as it doe's not effect our interest and our right to be free as our own nation. If it was in our interest to join any kind of thing like this we would of taken it when we where in Mexico city in the Mexican war we won.

Now there is a few states of Canada that may have some interest of joining the united states. Hey if they went to be part of our great nation. Then they have to make their case to us the American people. Then they have to vote to be added, also all states have to agree to that. Mexico on the other hand, NO. It is doing it the right way by the people and for the people.

As of right now we are fighting to keep our freedoms and rights Mr.Senator, maybe it would be good for you to fight on our side for once, instead of special interest in other country's that have nothing what so ever to do with America. In that means keeping other people that hate our country, or doe's not seek its interest out of here. In also deporting as need be. Enforce our laws SIR. I'm not against helping people or having some trade between countries. But I'm very much against the most corruped nation on earth merging into some kind of super state like the EU. I'm against you people taking my right to vote in be heard away.

Mr.Senator do that or get out.

LETTER I RECEIVED FROM SENATOR LUGAR

    Dear:

Thank you for contacting me regarding reports of a North American union between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. I appreciate this opportunity to respond.

There are no plans to consolidate the governments of Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Our governments cooperate on policies that are of vital mutual interest, such as our shared security against international terrorism. At a hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which I chair, I said, “The threat of terrorist penetration is particularly acute along our southern border.â€
