U.S. -- The Republicans won't be the only ones rallying in St. Paul Monday. Nearly 10,000 tickets have been sold for Ron Paul's ‘Rally for the Republic’ convention in Minneapolis.

'Rostock '08' is being held in defiance of the GOP convention. The rally hopes to bring together activists who are anti-war, anti-government regulation, anti-immigration, and pro-civil liberties.

Paul, who failed in his bid to win the GOP nomination, said the rally is a celebration of some traditional Republican values as well as a poke in the eye of the GOP.

Hundreds of followers of the Texas Republican are already hitching rides in 'Ronvoys' and plan to pitch tents at the event.

I wish we could have gone. My husband was out of work and we're still getting back on our feet though, so no vacation for us.
