CALL Hershey for moving 700 jobs to MEXICO!

Hershey is moving about 700 jobs to Mexico yet again. Call them and tell them you will NOT be buying peppermint paddies, or any other product made in Mexico. Its a free call. Call after hours to leave a message saying keep the jobs in the USA!!!

if not already, welcome arizonablues and I have already written to them
We appreciate your interest in our company and want to provide you with information on our Global Supply Chain Transformation.

As The Hershey Company expands internationally, we must make changes to our manufacturing network to ensure that our company remains competitive in the global marketplace for the long term. We are making these changes in a way that is consistent with Hershey’s heritage and values.

When these changes are completed, 90 percent of the items that Hershey sells in the United States and Canada will be made in these countries. And we will continue to make Hershey’s milk chocolate bars, Hershey’s Kisses and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups as well as a wide variety of delicious products right here in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and at our other facilities in the United States.

Our Global Supply Chain Transformation program includes a strong commitment to manufacturing throughout North America. We’re investing millions of dollars to add capabilities and increase production at our existing U.S. manufacturing plants, including Stuarts Draft, Va.; Lancaster, Pa.; Hazleton, Pa.; and, of course, in Hershey, Pa. We are also strengthening our network of manufacturing partners in the United States and Canada.

Milton Hershey, our founder, and his wife Catherine were extraordinary individuals. Their legacy includes the town of Hershey, The Hershey Company, and Milton Hershey School. Today, the Milton Hershey School provides education and housing to 1,700 disadvantaged children. The Trust that administers the school is our company’s largest shareholder, making the children of Milton Hershey School the direct beneficiaries of our business success.

At The Hershey Company, we’re proud of our heritage and values, and of the role that our company continues to play in the lives of the children of Milton Hershey School.
