McCain Vs. Palin For The GOP’s Soul

Both are vying for party leadership, but the past should get out of the future's way

Sen. John McCain is, as Politico noted last week, “working behind-the-scenes to reshape the Republican Party in his own center-right image.â€

Palin is the last thing the Republican party needs as a candidate (which she won't be) and she won't be a figure to bring the party together.

McCain / Kennedy amnesty bill is one fight I will never forget!
McCain is now supporting an "open borders, illegal alien (can't we just merge with Mexico) RINO in Colorado against a true American patriot.
I don't care about McCain / Palin - all I know is McCain is bad for America and her future - unless we all want to start speaking Spanish and turn our country into Mexico! If that is your goal the McCain is your man!

Neither McCain or Palin are any good. They are part of the problem and puppets to the gop's special interests...

There might be, but a Party wants its candidate to be electable, too. I thought Romney was the best GOP choice in 2008 and I think he could have won. I think the evangelicals rejected him because of his Mormon religion and possibly because he was associated with liberal policies. I saw him as a very thoughtful technocrat-type---wealthy enough, also, to not get dragged into the normal scandals of political life. Instead too many evangelicals went for the dud: Huckabee. Has any good ever emerged from Arkansas?

It is very likelly that this won't happen without a third party. The Dem and Repubs won't be redirected from their masters' orders. They will continue to encourage and support those who support the main agenda..the undoing of America and freedom. Only a third party will produce fresh new faces that are ..not yet..corrupted. There are Republicans and Democrats that aren't part of the good-ol boy group and they aren't supported by their parties either. Alan Keyes is an example and he can be the first on a list of potentials that aren't part of the establishment. Ron Paul as well. We need even more newer faces too.
