S.C. bases Moore v United States ruling on economic concern, not rule of law
I was really upset to see the court was not bashful to mention it based its opinion on economic consequences, i.e. depriving the U. S. Government and the American people of trillions in lost tax revenue, if the case was decided by the terms of our Constitution. Thomas and Gorsuch were admirable to point this out, and that the Court's dicta, is no bar against the barn door having been flung open to now allow more abusive taxation.

JWK
“To lay with one hand the power of the government on the property of the citizen [a working person’s earned wage] and with the other to bestow upon favored individuals, to aid private enterprises and build up private fortunes is none the less a robbery because it is done under forms of law and called taxation.”____ Savings and Loan Association v.Topeka,(1875).
