LOS ANGELES— A tracking firm says the median home price in Southern California rose 10 percent last month from February 2009, its third consecutive year-to-year increase.

San Diego-based MDA DataQuick reported Tuesday that last month's median of $275,000 was up from $250,000 in February 2009 and up about a percent from January's $271,000.

DataQuick also said home sales crept up about a percent from the February 2009 to more than 15,000. It was the 20th month in a row that home sales increased from their year-ago numbers.
