    San Diego County has a slew of faults, not the least of which cause earthquakes.

    Like most San Diegans educated in this jumpy terrain, I grew up as aware of the lay of the land beneath the ground as above.

    In sixth-grade geography class, we learned about subterranean construction defects that, if committed in the housing market, would have launched countless class-action lawsuits.

    Wow, some real shaking going on at the border. I wonder if anybody would be able to tell if any underground tunnels coollapsed in on any illegals during the quake?
