Schwarzenegger declares Calif. fiscal emergency

SACRAMENTO — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has declared a fiscal emergency to address California's deficit and has ordered state offices closed three days a month to save cash.

The Legislature will have 45 days to send him a plan to balance the state's budget, which ended the fiscal year with a $24.3 billion deficit. The shortfall is expected to grow by $7 billion because the Legislature did not enact several stopgap measures on Tuesday.

If lawmakers fail to act within the 45 days, they cannot adjourn or act on other bills until they solve the crisis.

The government shutdown will lead to a third furlough day 235,000 state employees, bringing their total pay cut to about 14 percent.

Wouldn't it be better if they just began issuing deportation orders instead?

The rest of the country needs to see what sanctuary city policies do to an entire state. These budget woes could clear up in about two years if they just arrested and deported the illegals who are out committing crimes and cut social services to them. While they are at it, take the illegal inmates and air lift them to the center of South America. By the time they get back we might have the border enforced.

Can you believe there are illegals getting money for food, being out of work, heath care and probably a ton more benefits. Arnold can't understand that giving all these services is just welfare for Mexico and South America and draws them like flies. And they bring illiteracy, crime, poverty and illness, which we all pay for. It doesn't take a genius to see it's going to cost something.

So far, I can't figure out what the benefits of a sanctuary city are other than to extend welfare to people that drain the system. Oh, and votes for the dopes.

Our budget deficit in this state is $24.3 billion and we spend upwards of something like 12-15 billion a year on illegal invaders. It would seem to me that we could cut the budget deficit in half, virtually overnight if we could just eliminate the illegal invaders and their anchor babies from the all social handouts they receive.

But no...the illegals remain on full scholrship while American citizens are forced to take furloughs and accept IOU's. Any mention of cutting off illegal invaders is staunchly resisted by our so called "leadership" in this state and outright rejected!

What a crock of you know what!

I am still wondering if I can sell my French antiques in Beverly Hills. They still have money don't they? (But I was told 'painted Italian' was all the rage now.)
