Never give up, never surrender
Update on actions you can take
With Senator Ben Nelson’s commitment to vote for the healthcare bill, Senator Harry Reid now has the 60 votes necessary to pass a cloture vote to end debate and bring the Senate healthcare bill to vote on the Senate Floor. The vote for cloture is slated for Monday 1 a.m. – that’s right 1 in the morning.
Additionally, the Senate is going to vote on a bill that has been finalized for barely a few hours much less 72 hours. This is an outrageous mockery of our US Constitution.
Over the last several months, we have voiced our opposition to government-run healthcare. In the spirit of Winston Churchill, we must never give up. We must never surrender. Now is the time to keep on fighting and keep turning up the heat.
Here’s an update on actions you can take:
1. Sign this petition (http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/stop ... ealthcare/), stating your opposition to government takeover of healthcare.
2. Melt the inboxes of these Chiefs of Staff:
Sen. Webb: kimberly_hunter@webb.senate.gov
Sen. Ben Nelson: Jim_fagin@bennelson.senate.gov
Sen. Blanche Lincoln: Todd_Wooten@lincoln.senate.gov
3. The Senators most likely to listen and to be courageous are: Sens. Webb, Warner, Lincoln, Landrieu, and Lieberman. (See information below.) Please contact these Senators to tell them to vote NO on the healthcare bill. We were informed by one of our Medina Tea Party Patriot members that it’s impossible to call the DC offices due to busy lines and full voice mail boxes. If you are experiencing the same problem, please e-mail the Senators, call their district offices or send faxes.
4. In addition to contacting the Senators, it is vital that you reach out to family and friends in the following states and ask them to call their Senators: Nebraska, Arkansas, Virginia, Connecticut and Louisiana. While melting the phone lines from people outside the states shows the intensity and passion of the American public, the calls from inside the state show the seriousness of their constituents.
5. Be sure to reach out to the Senators who are leading the way to defeat this bill – Senators DeMint, Coburn. Thank them for their efforts. They need to know that we stand behind them. The Capitol switchboard number is 202-224-3121.
6. Reach out to your family and friends and ask them to contact the Senators. Explain why defeating this bill is so vital to our liberty.
7. Last, but especially not least, pray for the Senators to have courage. Pray for our country.
The National Coordinators at Tea Party Patriots will continue to develop plans of action. Stay tuned for more emails from us as we get more information.

We know that Christmas is quickly approaching and the last thing you want to do is contact Senators.
Please keep fighting with us. We thank you for defending our liberties and our Constitution and for your sacrifices! They are not being made in vain.
