SENTRI users to get new border-crossing cards

SAN DIEGO: Participants in the SENTRI trusted-traveler program will soon receive new border-crossing cards with security features intended to foil counterfeiters.
The cards are being sent by mail.




SENTRI allows prescreened cross-border travelers to enter the United States through designated lanes at ports of entry, which usually reduces wait times.
Smuggling attempts have occurred through these lanes, but the number of incidents involving SENTRI participants is “very, very small,â€
