Six Shocking Details From a Serial Killer

Psychologists have for years tried to find out what makes them tick. So rarely do we get a chance to see the open confessions of a serial killer. More and more details are emerging on our latest in psychotic and sociopath individuals, only this time, he made a YouTube video confession and a 141-page manifesto published weeks before he went on a rampage. The killer has several details, rants, and diatribes, but he lets a rare glimpse at six shocking details from a serial killer.

While the media, once again, focus on handguns and exploiting families, they seem to overlook that this sociopath gave a good hard documented look into the mind of a serial killer before they strike. These rare glimpses give a means to find a way to identify the problem. By identifying the problem, perhaps we can have prevention that people would agree upon without adding more gun laws that don’t seem to be any deterrent to criminals.
It didn’t help police despite the over whelming evidence of violation of California’s gun laws and the Gun Act of 1984 to confiscate the weapons before the kid carried out exactly what he said he was going to do. Perhaps it is because they failed to act, they failed to search the property, they failed to confiscate the guns, they failed to send this kid to the mental hospital, they failed to do their duty to the Oath they swore to uphold. It may be a mistake on their part, but it appears to the person on the outside of a clear cut case of money versus justice.
The Blaze compiled six of shocking details of the killing. I agree with all but the last one as they say it, but it does reveal an important detail into the mindset and I’ll explain it.
The killer starts off his “confession” weeks prior to the killing in the leaked 108 word document with a simple statement.

“I didn’t want things to turn out this way, but humanity forced my hand, and this story will explain why.”

It gets even more disturbing from there. Here are some screen shots of the text that can be found directly in the manifesto:
1. The 22-year-old wrote that “the ultimate evil behind sexuality is the human female.” He added that they “think like beasts” and “should not have the right to choose who to mate and breed with.” ~The Blaze

2. In his perfect society, Rodger would be the Earth’s “divine ruler,” where he would quarantine all women in concentration camps and then starve them to death. ~The Blaze


3. Rodger plotted his “Day of Retribution” and set it for April 26, 2014, but later delayed it because of an illness. His words, not ours.


4. He planned to kill people by first luring them into his apartment and then wrote he would sneak into a sorority house and “slaughter every single one of them with my guns and knives” before driving to his father’s house to kill his little brother and stepmom.~The Blaze



5. Police came his house after a series of disturbing YouTube videos and his father going to the police the first time. He said he was thankful “all suspicion” of him was later “dropped” after they were gone.


6. I disagree with the Blaze here. They state it is a chronology of violent video games. Having played these games the killer talks about, World of Warcraft is not bloody or realistic as seems to be the argument. I think it was more then that. Rodgers talks about video games to fill the void in his social life, and as temporary substitute for real social interaction that caused him to become a sociopath and feel ostracized by the real world. Either way, it cautions against using video games as babysitting tools and the only social interaction that a child has.



Now as to why the police despite California law and gun restriction just let him go on number 5, I couldn’t tell you. Is this every serial killer? No, but it has distinct traits that can be found in the biography of all of them, especially being a sociopath. Is that say all sociopaths are going to be psychotic killers? No, but it is psychologically proven that they do have a harder time adjusting to reality and are more then likely to not see harming another, violent outbursts, sexual predatory instincts, and violating any law as wrong. In fact many think it is normal.
