In a country mired in recession and unemployment, it may seem hard to find things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. But there are many. Because we live in America, even those of us who are going through hard times have access to abundant food, racks of clothing, secure shelter, heating and air-conditioning, and an amazing array of learning and leisure activities.

This is important to remember, not just to keep our spirits up, but to avoid a tragic mistake societies often make: taking the good for granted. It is all too easy to fixate on our problems without appreciating the good in our lives. Societies that make this mistake are easy prey for scapegoating charlatans--such as those who tell us that our salvation lies in redistributing the wealth of “the 1%.â€

I'm no fan of the OWS socialist who 'imo'should move to China or Somalia.
But we can no longer give much credit to the 1% since many of them sold out their country to the highst bidders.
This suject is really too much to dicuss in detail.
Sam Walton was a man who loved his country unlike the kids he left WalMart to. when he first opened WalMart it boast of selling american Made products, not the cheap foreign crap they sell now.
We did'nt have to rid our nation of all its resources and industry to be prosperous. We did'nt have to hep Chin and India citizens end up with better lifestyles than we have now with unfair trade.
40% of americans are now foreigners who immigrated here in one gneration. With the help of the 1% most our jobs are now immigrants or government run and protected unions.
I won't give the 1% credit anymore than I will thank our troops for fighting in llegal wars I helped put them in. I will beg their forgiveness for my part in being an ignorant voter for the other warmonger bush.
Now we have handed over most of the middle east to radical islam .
This nation needs to wake up and stop making excuses forour actions.
