Sarah Palin's Relevance to our Future as a Country
Several ALIPAC members have asked me to share information about Sarah Palin, Rep VP nominee. Since I am a long time Alaska resident (but born in NC!) did you hear that William? and contributing member of ALIPAC. I have also served many years as a public servant myself for Alaska state government and am aware of the many issues facing Alaska and our nation.
First of all, forget everything you know about stereotypes and business as usual in politics. This person, is a one in a million perhaps that ever come along in generations that stands out amongst the best of the best. This "she" could have very well been a "he". Whatever it is, the people love the refreshing change. Could it be that truth and honesty are attributes that cut through a sea of corruption? or is it that cream rises to the top? She was like a gift from heaven and a long overdue breath of fresh air when elected as Gov. She is cut from a much different mold than most politicians. She is indeed a genuine Christian and does live it. Most everyone in Alaska adores and esteems her. We are sad to see her go but, it is fully in her character to want to help her country. She is the cream of the cream, genuine, whip smart, not arrogant, and so many good things I could not even begin to do her justice. I am a bit surprised that she accepted running with McCain however, knowing his past coddling episodes of illegal immigrants etc. Maybe she thinks she can change that. I sure hope so. I think I can speak for most Alaskans in that we just finally got a decent Gov and now this! It is such a critical time in the state's history to have her not leading that our state stands a huge loss without her. There is just no one that can compare to her quality and character, even Parnell Lt. Gov is so inexperienced but I hear she will still be conducting state business while campaigning. I have not a doubt about her being Vice Pres of U.S. and eventually Pres if it came to that. How do you spell CAPABLE? She is the epitome of that. If people only knew that she is the real deal the jealous ones would not be flapping off negative made up things about her. Unless of course she is a threat to them and their "right to choose death". Many of the energy issues facing our country have already become apparent in Alaska and are being dealt with successfully by her administration. She brings experience in that arena and is bulldog tough where and when she needs to be. She is young, energetic, principaled, focused and unselfish in her desire to serve. I see no self interest at all. I see much sacrifice on her part for our country and state. It will indeed be a huge sacrifice not only for herself but her family. She has expressed single mindedness and no compromise when it comes to upholding the basic elements of the Christian faith that our country was founded on. I am ecstatic that finally we have a person whose entire life relfects those principles. I would trust her leading our country in a heartbeat for it is not only she leading, it is God beside her and with her! What a glorious gift and how very clever in God's timing I believe some prayers were indeed answered!

Great post, someone else said she is a female Teddy Roosevelt, and I believe.
Also remember that TR was originally Vice President, and because President when the sitting President was shot and died.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Maybe you can answer these questions, because nobody seems to know:
What are her views on immigration?
Did she endorse Pat Buchanan in 1996 and 2000? If so, did her endorsement have anything to do with Pat's immigration stance?
I would greatly appreciate the info. Thanx.Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.
See you at the signing!!

Great post and wonderful words, ThaHound. I can see Gov. Palin is far removed from just your average politician. She's a diamond in the rough.

From what I understand about Alaska, it's a very difficult place to live. It's still a frontier and it needs a lot of infastructure just to catch up to the rest of the US. Alaska probably needs more earmarks than most states.
Maybe what was done should be evaluated, over how much was spent.

Thank you for that post ThaHound. I was disapointed that it was not Romney but I could tell in listening to her she was someone who was not corupt. Now if McCain listens to her we have it made. I think she will leave McCain in her dust.

We need leaders who can unite this country--and if that means exposing wrongdoing in one's own party so be it. I think people are simply fed up with these two sides that are tearing each other down. I'd like to see Obama try to come up with something wrong with Palin. Good luck!

I do not recall that I have ever known her to express that view publicly. She could have but I would have to research it to say for sure. First of all, illegal immigration is not so much of an Alaskan issue (it is here to be sure but not to the extent as the rest of the country) but yet many of us are very involved in helping to fight it for the other states. AK has had some extremely urgent issues to be dealt with such as the gas pipeline and issues unique to AK that had to be dealt with so I imagine these things took first priority). As a conservative Christian like myself, she should be adamantly opposed to it. I would find it out of character for her to not be opposed to it. I hope that someone will pose the question to her. As for the second question, record has it that she backed Steve Forbe's Pres Campaign in 200 and NOT Buchanan's.
