Democrats don’t need Republicans to pass the health care bill. They just needed Republicans for political cover in case it blows up later.

Mr. Parks is completely correct. The Socialists have their one (1) prize to hold up to the world. The spin will now be "bipartisan support".

I wasn't surprised...but what will surprise me is if after the bill is compiled and written that the usual suspects on the right doesn't join Snowe…stating that all is ok now. Expect to see Lindsey Graham joining and many Republicans who do not have to run for re-election in 2010. Remember...we are no longer Americans. We are citizens of the world and the only "industrialized" world citizens who have not given complete control of every aspect of our life, in its most literal sense, to government control.

i heard her part of an interview on msnbc where she said she voted for this because of the state of maine and their health care program which is basically the same thing and its going broke. she thinks that by voting yes and if it passes the maine state medical care can be taken over by the govt.
