Socialism? You’re Soaking In It: U.S. Redistributes $2 Trillion In Just One Year

The problem with socialism, as noted by Margaret Thatcher (R.I.P., by the way), is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.

Here in the United States, we just haven’t reached that point yet.

As a result, our government happily takes your tax dollars and gives them to people that are less fortunate than yourself who will vote Democrat. It’s okay. You probably didn’t need that money, anyway.

As it turns out, $2 trillion of taxpayer dollars the top 40% of earners are redistributed to people in the lower 60%. We could say that this kind of welfare state activity encourages people at the lower end of the income scale to become wards of the state. We could also say that it acts as an inherent disincentive to improvement. But, hopefully, those points are obvious by now.

In fact, for every dollar that people on the lower third of the income scale pay in taxes, they get $5.28 in government goodies. Those heartless rich bastards, on the other hand, only get a quarter’s worth of return for every dollar they pay in taxes.

Yes, a quarter.

It’s almost like the system is biased against people who are successful, or something. No wonder there aren’t more successful people.

Have a look at the video below.
