    A Socialist Bill?

i was taking a Zogby poll minute ago and one of the questions was as follows:

Four members of the U.S. Senate recently introduced a bill that would allow the President of the United states to turnoff the Internet nationally in the event of an emergency but without defining what constitutes a national emergency. Do you support or oppose this bill?

Anyone familiar with this bill? This is nothing but an attempt to control the news. Nothing short of socialism. This bill has to be stopped.

I dont know what they mean by emergency either...but in many emergencies it would be BETTER to have the internet to communicate.

    No Internet No Taxes!

If the Gov't turns off our internet many Americans will have to stop paying taxes because they work on-line............

I don't put anything past our government, someone sent me this link todaythat demonstrates this point.

I think that must be the "Cybersecurity Act of 2009" Here is a link to more info and there are also some comments at this link. It also has a place to vote yay or nay. Almost all votes are nay.
