Judge Sonia Sotomayor, President Obama's pick to become the newest Supreme Court justice, is on the record with some controversial remarks about 'diversity,' 'judicial activism' and female judges vs. male judges.
For example, the New York Times reported that in 2001, at the annual Judge Mario G. Olmos Law and Cultural Diversity Lecture, Sotomayor had this to say:
“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.â€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

She will pass, I have watched the Judicary committee so many times in action, and the senate has almost 60 votes and no doubt Snow and Collins will throw their vote her way.
The sad part is he will probably get to replace Ginsburg born 1933 and has been fighting cancer.
then we have...
more than likely he will get to replace Stevens and if he is there 8 years could possibly replace the other 3....NOT GOOD!!
Stevens born 1920
Scalea 1936
Kennedy 1936
Breyer 1936
Roberts 1955
Alito 1950

FROM RUSH LIMBAUGH:
I doubt that Sotomayor can be stopped. She should be. She is a horrible pick. She is the antithesis of a judge, by her own admission and in her own words. She has been overturned 80% by the Supreme Court. She may as well be on the Ninth Circus Court of Appeals, given all the time she's overturned. She has been reprimanded by a truly strong Hispanic judge, Jose Cabranes. She has been rebuked in writing by Cabranes for opinions that she wrote that had no bearing on the constitutional issues before her in the case that was being decided.
