ASIS 2011, ORLANDO -- Offering your fingerprints with a contactless, mid-air swipe of the hand

MorphoTrak displayed at the ASIS conference – and will officially release in the near future – an innovative fingerprint reader the company is calling Finger-on-the-Fly, which can capture and process an individual’s fingerprints while the person swipes his or her hand past the device in mid-air – without stopping the hand’s motion and without even touching the reader.

The non-contact and continuous-movement reader allows for a very high throughput, Gary Jones, a MorphoTrak senior manager, told GSN at the ASIS show.
