For those who believe that gangs are merely the expression of brotherhood by today's youth in hostile neighborhoods as they try to recreate some semblance of family......think again. Gangs are big business and it now goes beyond merely street corner punks selling dime bags and eight balls. Gangs are well-funded enterprises that deal in narcotics, gun-running, money laundering and now, according to this interesting piece, sex trafficking. http://bitterqueen.typepad.com/friends_ ... ution.html

There is a large office in the State Department that deals with the international problem of sex trafficking and for quite some time, experts believed that while this type of operation did occur in the United States, it was not nearly as prevalant as in some less wealthy nations -- places like Ukraine, Thailand, served as hubs for the trafficking of women and children through various criminal enterprises. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_trafficking

But now, it would appear that the Bloods have gotten in on the action. Sad.

Trafficking in women from eastern Europe is mostly done by Russian organized crime groups. I have witnessed it first hand and it is sickening. There was noting I could do at the time without putting myself and my daughter in harm's way. All I could do is get names and good descriptions and other information that could be passed on to law enforcement that was involved in investigating that.
