We told you last week that Dana Point televangelist Benny Hinn Ministries hauled in $97.93 million in a single year. And Kenneth Copeland hauled in $100 million. And Joyce Meyer Ministries (JMM) hauled in $112 million. And they’re just a drop in the vast televangelist bucket.

Those rather stunning figures were furnished in response to a probe by Republican Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa, who wanted to know if these ministries improperly used their tax-exempt status to finance lavish lifestyles. He found that many of the churches had “multiple for-profit and non-profit entitiesâ€

They should pay tax. Many of the support political candidates and even encourage parishoners to donate money. Jewish temples and charites have raised alot of money for Donna Wasserman Schultz. Catholics support illegals and the list goes on. If they contribute to campaigns or get others to or even get involved in anything political they should be taxed.

Only if they are engaged politically. There are allot of churches, especially Catholic that preach political views from the pulpit. They should lose their tax exempt status. There are some however that render unto Caesars what is Caesars and God , what is Gods. These churches and private ministries should not. They do wonderful work and communities benefit from them. No way should they be taxed.
