Tea Parties Are Meaningless Without Support of HR1207
I'm sorry for sounding like a broken record but I wanted to continue reminding people about the importance of getting HR 1207: Audit The Federal Reserve Bill passed!
Rallies are a great start, but I feel without the "teeth" of a legitimate bill to get to the main source of where all our money is going, this movement will be nothing more than a large scale public venting party!
**JUST REPORTED BY CAMPAIGN FOR LIBERTY**
H.R. 1207 to Audit the Fed has been referred to the House Committee on Financial Services.. That's a HUGE step forward. Most bills begin by being considered by one or several congressional committees which may "report" the bill favorably or unfavorably to the Senate or House as a whole allowing it to receive consideration by the full body and move forward.
We need to influence the House Financial Services Committee to give a favorable report on H.R. 1207
There are 71 members of the House Financial Services Committee with Barney Frank as Chair. Please go to this link and PLEASE contact these members encouraging them to Support H.R. 1207. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/committee.xpd?id=HSBA
Let's focus first on the members of the House Financial Services Committee.
NOW is the time to bring all of our efforts to bear on the situation. If we can get the bill out of Committee with a favorable report it will go to the House floor for a vote!
Please copy and paste this Action Alert to fellow Americans asking them to contact the Members of the House Financial Services Committee right away!

Draft a simple email and let them know we want transparency and their favorable support of H.R. 1207 to Audit the Fed and. Send an email and/or call each of the members on the committee right away! http://www.govtrack.us/congress/committee.xpd?id=HSBA
Why is this bill important? Right now the Fed is refusing to give a public accounting of the trillions of tax payer backed loans. Just look at the 700 billion in TARP funds that congress appropriated and the Fed refused to talk about. We now know it ended up going to bonuses for the AIG executives.
H.R.1207

As I know you’re aware, the Federal Reserve’s inner-workings are shrouded in secrecy, and their meetings are off-limits to the public.

I think if HR 1207 is ever passed, we can legitimately start taking our country back. Everyone please ask your rep to support this bill.

Is it still in committee? (or is it that far?) Do you know when it comes up for a vote? We need to time a fax / phone campaign that day.<div>“There is no longer any Left or Right, there is only Tyranny or Liberty ”</div>

MOST BILLS DIE IN COMMITTEE FOR LACK OF SUPPORT. There is no way to know how long it will stay in Committee. That means it's all up to US!
