Suspect Steals Car With Baby Inside

Something is terribly wrong with some people. And in the end they have the thinking- "Gonzalez says if the man is caught, she does not want to press charges."

    Talk about irresponsible:

    - Pregnant as a teenager
    - Left the baby in the car alone
    - Left the keys in the car
    - Parents did nothing to prevent it
    - Then the mother thinks it's okay for someone to steal the baby

Amnesty- The trashing of our Nation!

Suspect Steals Car With Baby Inside

By: Derrol Nail & Charlene Lee

Most folks who stop at yard sales are often looking to buy something for a bargain, but one local mother's visit to a Fresno yard sale on Saturday, nearly resulted in a loss she never bargained for.

Around 8:00 a.m. Erica Gonzalez, 17, and her family stopped at a yard sale near the corner of Maple and Gettysburg.

"We got out of the truck to look at the yard sale, and I left my baby inside because he was sleeping," said Erica Gonzalez.

They also left the keys inside the White 2002 Chevy Avalanche.

Next thing Erica knew, a complete stranger jumped in the truck, and drove off with her baby still asleep in the car seat.

"I started yelling because my baby was in there, and I started crying," said Gonzalez.

Fresno Police responded, and an amber alert was sent out.

But as the search for the truck began, it's what an officer did next that Erica believes helped the most.

"He prayed with us, and said 'Trust in God' and everything will be okay," said Gonzalez.

Ten minutes later, police got an anonymous call saying the truck and the baby were left at the corner of Cornell and Winery.

"I was so happy because my prayers were answered," said Gonzalez.

Police dusted the truck for the thief's fingerprints, in hopes of catching him.

But all this grateful mother wants is for the suspect to hear this message.

"I want to tell him, 'God bless him.' Go to church, and to tell God to forgive him," said Gonzalez.

Gonzalez says if the man is caught, she does not want to press charges.

Depends on where you live but Americans get busted for neglect and abuse and the child is taken away around here. That's for being right outside your car putting in gas or dropping a donation in a Salvation Army bucket...

The car thief will be thinking of her while he is stealing his next car.
