    A Tea Party, Started by the Resistance

    I got this from another forum:

    "If You Have Not Heard...

    Feb 1st is the 2009 Tea Party.!!! Everyone send a photo or a drawing of a tea bag...or cut the end off a tea box (DO NOT SEND A REAL TEA BAG) and send it to your state representatives. Everyone is sending one to Pelosi and Reid also!! You can google their address info.

    Write inside....Welcome To The Revolution! We're Mad And We Are NOT Going To Take It Anymore!

    Mail Them On Feb 1st

    Tell Everyone!!!

    I like this idea much better than mailing a brick for the border wall!

    If anyone has Pelosi and Reids address handy, please post.

    It is much cheaper too. Hmmmm maybe I should buy some herbal tea remedy to cure mental illness to send to Pelosi. Somewhere out there there has to be a mental illness tea lol and it would be worth the few bucks to buy the box for the box end. I could send the other end to Reid lol

    Socal- Question - I might be missing something, but is the Tea Party meant to express anger about a particular issue (such as immigration), or to express anger about everything? Is the idea coming from a general conservative group or from a pro-LEGAL immigration group? Thanks.

    A note could be included with those teabag pics. How about something like: " I consider people supporting communist organizations like ACORN, enemies of our free enterprise system".

    Also a copy of the Declaration of Inderpendence could be included:

    IN CONGRESS, JULY 4, 1776
    The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America
    when in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
