Thread: Tea Party unites, Mainstream News Media Is a problem.

Distrust of the mainstream media has been among the strongest sentiments uniting philosophically diverse tea party activists, who almost universally believe the national media have purposefully underestimated their ranks, highlighted their extremes or portrayed them as racists, rednecks or worse — that is, when it wasn’t ignoring them completely.

What then, to make of the fact that an increasing number of media outlets appear to be devoting increasing resources to chronicling the movement, culminating in a massive media presence at this weekend’s self-proclaimed National Tea Party Convention?

Organizers initially moved to limit access to outlets deemed friendly to the cause, including Fox News Channel, The Wall Street Journal, Breitbart.com, Townhall.com and World Net Daily. But they later relented and now say they’ve issued 200 press credentials, including multiple passes each to many of the elite national media organizations regularly disparaged by conservative activists as Democratic shills — the hated liberal mainstream media, or MSM.

Both the organizers and convention participants have seemed to revel in the media spotlight and have used the attention to chastise the press for what they view as shoddy coverage, though some refused to talk to reporters at all.

C It is time to dispel some of this folklore and myth.

Why are they being chastised for being a “for-profitâ€

Remember, the media is the propaganda machine of the money power elite. It will be used and misused to discredit, and malign the Tea Party, or any other movement that stands for liberty against the elite. Look at the bimbo Rachel Maddow, who's on MSLSD I think, and how she maligned us at the Birch Society with stuff from so long ago that it's laughable, but she won't allow us a chance to take her to task on her maligned statements and info.

Beware the media is all I can say.

WHY did they allow ANY of the Lefts media??? I don't get it?
Tomorrow when I get up all I'm going to hear is LIES about the Tea Party. What is wrong with Liberal? Do they get all the brain matter you are suppose to have when you are born. They can't see past their own ignorance.

I will say it again. When I didn't care about politics I was a Liberal. As I matured, 35, I went Independent and watched NBC news every night. That was it! That was my info to vote on????? Then I got into Cable news. I watched everyone BUT Fox. I have voted for Ross Perot, Clinton and now Ron Paul.

Currently I watch it all in order to email them with my "blunt" thoughts about how STUPID they are and that their news is by omission. During the day I like Dylan Rattigan on at 4 on MSNBC. I predict he will be moving to Fox, maybe he can take Sheppard Smiths job!

I send Morning Joe, on MSNBC, about 4 insulting emails every M-F. They make me so mad I fly out of bead and hit the keyboard! LOL

I'm not able to watch Olbermann or Maddow any more. They make me cringe and by their ratings, others feel the same. When something good happens within the Republican Party or the Tea Party, I love to look in on Chris Matthews. He just flips out about it. LOL

My own opinion is that Democrats are people not really into politics. The ones that say, "I don't want to talk politics. BUT Conservatives and Republicans are knowlegable of politics. They know the issues and most of the corruption going on.

Look at who these media corporations are alligned with and even owned by. They are tightly tied to global monopolistic economic empires. They are in other words, owned by the globalist elites who want complete control, and have over the years turned the term "liberal" into something detestable. Liberals today are basically socialist / communist bots. Thomas Jefferson was considered a "liberal", but if you read his ideas of liberalism, it was to be more trusting of the population at large, as opposed to consolidating power into fewer hands.

That's a huge difference from today's standards. Liberals and Conservatives today if not careful, are used as tools by those who want to consolidate power into fewer and fewer hands.

The whole system is rotten to the core like an apple that has been left on the tree to rot for the winter.

So the media is now just a mouthpiece for those who would have been called vicious and designing back then. For they subvert the nation in times of piece, and conspire against it in times of war, as Lincoln would have said.
