Well the pirates are showing Americans that the world governments aren't totally powerful on the seas. Can the world governments ever be in total control of the seas?

And when is our military going to rescue us in America from the millions invading our country?

The pirates have forced the issue of the need for the demise of their livelihood. Once the khat wears off in Puntland, this will start to sink in. It will be interesting to see how they react to the news.

He wasn't released by the pirates, he was rescued by the U.S. Navy.

Yeah, the deaths of three and the capture of one pointed to a non-voluntary release. Also, I saw some news story where a reporter knocked on the door of his family, and someone told them they'd known for hours. I figured Seals would be all over this. That's almost standard kidnapping practice, stall for time, wait till the kidnappers get tired, and then take advantage and go in. Unless they willingly release their victim which is always preferable. Now there is the question of what is to be done about the crime-based economy of Puntland?

Somalia has no central government, but is basically run by rampant gangs and according to international treaty, no merchant ships are allowed to be armed.

There must be non-flammable technology than can serve the purpose of defensive weapons.
