    Fort Worth Texas Tea Party
    by Rowdy » Fri Feb 27, 2009 8:37 pm

    I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

What a great experience at the Texas Tea Party! We had about 500 Texas/US Patriots and met some really dedicated and folks that had their gusto going. Some even drove up from San Antonio because their Tea Party lasted a whole hour at lunch and they felt like they hadn't done anything. After a couple of hours of standing protest on the street shouting...NO MORE PARK...NO MORE PORK...NO MORE PORK...GENERATION THEFT...WE DON'T DO SOCIALISM HERE...STOP STEALING FROM THE PEOPLE and waving the Texas flag and Old Glory and my sign....One Big Mistake America!!! We had horns honking back several blocks in support. And of course we got some booo's! The mountain juniper fever kicked in and my eyes started streaming with allergy, I had to pack it in and go inside...I signed the petition to support Texas HCR 50 Affirming that Texas declares sovereignty....

However, I did get to network with some Tarrant County Republicans, Stephanie Klick, http://www.tcgop.org/clubs1.htm the Chair, had an interesting conversation, handed her our blurb for FFC, discussed issues with several other ladies about getting involed. I also got to meet Larry Kilgore (for Texas governor 2010) and was gifted with one of his Texas flags...very intersting young politician...we discussed the Trans Texas Corridor and I screeched like a banshee, until I found out he agrees Check him out: http://www.larrykilgore.com/, he sounds like my kinda guy on every issue. Very personable young man, took the time to visit with anybody he met.

I'll put the pictures in another post so I don't run out of room here. A definite good time was had by all and the networking with fellow patriots was superlative.
