ATI (American Tactical Imports) will be moving out of New York and relocating in South Carolina. ATI is the third gun dealer to leave New York since Gov Andrew Cuomo signed the Safe Act on January 15th. ATI describes itself as “an importer and distributor of domestic firearms”. They do some light manufacturing.
Their 2.7 million in jobs and facilities will be going with them. ATI is moving from Rochester, New York to Summerville, SC, known as the Home of Sweet Tea and is nicknamed Flowertown in honor of the tens of thousands of tourists come there for the blooming of the flowers. The first landscaped yard is located nearby and was established in 1741. Summerville is located just 20 miles from the ports of Charleston, SC and will be an advantage to the company.
Company president, Tony DiChario said:
“This move to South Carolina will help ensure a solid foundation for our company. The relocation process will be smooth and we have ensured the process will not affect customer service, product distribution or any other segment of our business.”
ATI plans to hire 100 employees to begin with. No date for the move has been made.
