Disturbance Call at Pilgrim's Hatchery
No arrest in Soccer Brawl
DISTURBANCE CALL AT PILGRIM'S HATCHERY 7/23/07
A disturbance call at the Pilgrim’s Hatchery was actually a large fight between soccer players and spectators Sunday afternoon.
According to the Sevier County Sheriff’s office, Deputy David Stinson was dispatched to a disturbance at the Pilgrim’s Pride Hatchery on Hwy 329 in De Queen. Reporting parties said there was a large fight on the soccer fields behind the hatchery. Deputy Stinson, Sheriff John Partain, Deputy Robert Richardson, Reserve Deputy Rusty Williams, De Queen Police officers Keith Tucker, Gary Cunningham, Larry Gibson, and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission officer Keith Philamlee responded to the call. Officers were advised by several witnesses that beer bottles and other objects were being thrown and used as weapons. After several minutes officers were able to gain control of the fight and the crowd was dispersed. Officers remained on the scene for about 30 minutes.
Only one subject identified as Lorenzo Gonzalez of the De Queen was taken to De Queen medical center for treatment of injuries. Gonzalez suffered a large deep laceration over his eye that required stitches. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Pilgrim's Pride has been recently motivated to fire their illegal alien employees in at least two plants. I'm sure the problem is company wide.

Years ago I read about a soccer game some place down in South America, one of the players did so badly that the fans beat him to death later. These folks take their soccer games very seriously.

MD, add alcohol to any game and it can turn into a brawl.
They put fences up between the fans and soccer fields.
People were crushed in Brazil trying to escape a fight that broke out in the stands and the pushing caused the fence to collapse.
It's a big deal at Olympic games to have a sturdy fence.

Pilgrim's was one of the first and one of the leading magnets for illegal immigration.
There was a problem at a little league soccer game with parents telling their children to hit, kick, trip, etc., the American children. They were yelling in Spanish, thinking no one understood.
Not all of the Mexicans working for Pilgrim's, however, are illegals. They have a goodly number that are somekind of 'legal' worker under the NAFTA agreement.
Pay attention, because I think there is something odd about the firings at Pilgrim's. Either they just want to relocate them and are using this as good PR for the President or they want to replace them with 'legals' from Mexico.
The 'legals' are sometimes no better to live with than the illegals -in attitude, anyway.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
