Three arrested in ongoing narcotics investigation

LEMON GROVE – Heavily armed federal agents swarmed a van and took three men into custody Tuesday afternoon as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

The incident took place about 2 p.m. in the vicinity of Lemon Grove Avenue and Broadway.

Witnesses described what appeared to be an FBI SWAT team, backed by California Highway Patrol officers, stopping the van and ordering the three men out of the vehicle.

When they refused, the agents fired two concussion grenades, also known as “flash bangs,â€
