Three Generations in Family Charged in Drug Trafficking Conspiracy

DEC 16 --PHOENIX - A federal grand jury in Phoenix returned a six-count superseding indictment against Kingsley Lloyd Bowen, 66, of Brooklyn, New York; Sandra Marie Bowen, 40, of Chandler, Ariz.; Dillon Ornim Clarke, 22, of Brooklyn, New York; and Christopher Anthony Williams, 35, of Chandler. The superseding indictment charges them with Conspiracy to Possess Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy to Launder Monetary Instruments, Laundering of Monetary Instruments, Conspiracy to Destroy or Remove Property to Prevent Seizure, and Destruction or Removal of Property to Prevent Seizure.

According to the superseding indictment Kingsley Bowen is the father of Sandra Bowen, Sandra Bowen is Clarke’s mother, and Williams is Sandra Bowen’s boyfriend. The four are alleged to be members of a drug trafficking conspiracy which obtained marijuana in Arizona then coordinated the transportation and delivery of the marijuana to New York, New York; Miami, Florida; Cleveland, Ohio; Johnston, Rhode Island; Chester Pike, Pennsylvania; and other locations. Trial is scheduled for March 2, 2010. Kingsley Bowen is under house arrest pending trial. The remaining defendants are detained in federal custody.
