We are all going to miss Tim. He was a journalist at the height of his career who wasn't afraid to ask the tough questions. He did his homework before each broadcast and made his guests answer his questions, no matter who they were. My prayers are with his family.

He seemed to have had a very fulfilling life filled with accomplishment. Prayers are with his family.

I liked Tim Russert. I pray that his family can cope during this difficult time.

One really has to wonder about how he died. I don't believe ANYTHING the government or the media tells us. You never know when we are being lied to.

Did Tim find something out, what did he know? A heart attack at the age of 58 these days seems a little fishy to me.

It's very sad, but things like this can definitely happen.

Stress might have played a role in it since he was so fired up to cover this election.

He had diabetes and coronary heart disease the news stated. The autopsy revealed a blood clot on some area with plague from blockage I believe. He had very little sleep, had just put his father in assisted living and had the long trip back from Italy. His weight, etc. may have been a factor too they said.

How wonderful to have the relationship with his father and with his son. We never know what may happen, so we need to say "we love you" and "forgive me" before we cannot and have to live with regrets.

Romans 5:8

You bring up a good point. There is a direct link between blood clots and flying, especially in persons where other risk factors are involved. Otherwise healthy individuals can also develop clots however during the course of flights of more than four hours and in cramped seating.

It, sadly, was just Tim's time to leave us and he will be missed.
