Town Protests Atheists’ Threats by Chopping off Part of Controversial Water Tower Cross

Remember the controversial cross on a water tower in Whiteville, Tennessee? Earlier this month, the Blaze reported that Mayor James Bellar was planning to cave to atheists’ demands and have the religious symbol moved to private land.

Bellar, who defended its presence, claimed that the town could not afford to pay for an expensive legal battle with Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) — the “freethinkingâ€

Same group is suing to have Montana WWII memorial removed as well as lawsuit filed in AL over prayer conducted before football games. They claim 17,000 members I guess nationwide, and have a website. i prob would be censored here for posting, but it details all their nefarious doings.

ANOTHER SOROS FUNDED ASSAULT ORGANIZATION. An organizartion with 17000 memebers must have very rich memebers or a lot of backing. This is just another socialist assault financed by Socialist/Communist backers. They are hypocrites becasue they NEVER file suits against Muslims. JMO

I don't know which burns me up the most: the radio commercial I heard the other day promoting a few job openings in which the announcer said: "We encourage women and minorities only to apply," or the latest push by the Freedom from Religion Foundation to exclude Christians from public life and policy decision-making.

Political correctness goes like this: "If you are a majority, step out of the way and let minorities take over." If you are due for a promotion, stay back so Gabriella can have it. Or, if you have been out of work and have been looking for nine months for a job, Juan was just laid off and we need to give him first crack.

In the United States, somehow while males are the majority and everybody else, regardless of race, gender or nationality, are the minority.

Christianity is considered a majority religion. In fact, the liberal Brookings Institute says that religion imported from the Middle and Far East is really not a religion, but "a way of life" and deserves a prime hearing. Meaning, if you are a Muslim, yours is not a religion and therefore is not offensive to the "minority." And among the minority are atheists.

How exactly do we move from a nation whose founders and first public servants included many Christians, to a place where Christians are no longer fit to participate in public life? Because if the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has their way, that’s exactly what our country will look like.

Though few in number these types of groups are a great danger. The analogy of taking down a large building applies here. Demolition technicians know to target the structural components. This is the approach they use attacking religion , specifically Christianity, which forms the structural basis for every law , the moral ,ethical and cultural values and the very structure of society. These are the pillars of our society and the foundation is the Constitution. If the individual Citizens are the building blocks . Common beliefs, code of conduct, sense of unity and national pride promotes purpose towards a common goal for the benefit of all . These items are the mortar that binds those blocks into a recognizable , function able structure. Attacking the foundation itself is not effective. Attacking the institutions built upon that foundation and rendering them irrelevant and ineffective renders the foundation itself unimportant and obsolete. Fundamentally one must believe in something greater than ones self. Belief that there is nothing greater than ones self leads to thoughts of self importance and narcissistic behavior, in that there is no accountability to anyone or anything but that of the self. Atheism relies on the thought that morality is ingrained in humanity and is somehow present in all people in equal quantity and barring some deviation akin to a mental or genetic disorder , is as strong and guiding force as hunger or pain. This belief relies on the premise that the difference between right and wrong is somehow instinctive and the " normal" human being will follow that instinctive directive naturally. This in and of itself ignores a basic tenet of religion that man is sinful by nature. Even Christians recognize their weaknesses and failures and know they must be ever vigilant in their daily lives. Atheists on the other hand believe they are the anointed ones who possess the truth and that truth should only be governed by popular opinion. As we all can see truth and justice is a relative term around the world. With this one observation their argument falls apart. There exists no common inherited, instinctive or genetic code of conduct within man. Their views are as archaic as those of geocentrists or flat earthers used to be , but still they persist. The basic fact remains no one is trying to convert or make believers of them , or force them to accept a foreign concept. They on the other hand are trying to convert and force their beliefs on the majority by restricting the practice or voicing of those beliefs in the very institutions that rely on those beliefs for their survival.

These people need to read the constitution. It says frrdom OF religion, not freedom from religion.

They only go after Chistians. I want to see them file a lawsuit over this.
