Another day in America, another train derailment!
A train reportedly transporting hazardous materials derailed Saturday in Rockwood, Maine.
“Train derailment with fire north of rockwood, hazzard materials please stay clear!” Rockwood Fire & Rescue posted to Facebook.
Multiple emergency crews and hazmat responded to the scene.

Authorities advised residents to stay clear of the area.
“This incident is particularly alarming given its proximity to Moosehead Lake, one of the largest freshwater bodies in the state,” RawsAlerts noted.

FOX News reported:
The Fire & Rescue team posted a photo of the incident that shows a derailed train and a fire burning in a snow covered forest area.
Rockwood Fire & Rescue did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

It is unclear if anyone was injured during the derailment.
Rockwood, Maine, is located on the western side of Moosehead Lake in the northern part of the state roughly 45 miles from the Canadian border.
The derailed train’s proximity to Moosehead Lake, a major freshwater source, is reportedly a grave concern for local authorities.

A train derailed just north of Rockwood on Saturday morning.
According to Rockwood Fire & Rescue on Facebook, the train caught fire after derailing, and “hazard material” was spilled. The post did not describe what type of hazardous material spilled.
The Facebook post advises the public to stay clear of the area. No additional information has been released.
