President Trump may be willing to dash his dreams of a military parade if the cost is too high.

Trump's pomp and circumstance would march "up and down Pennsylvania Avenue" with “a lot of flyovers," preferably on Veterans Day, Trump said during a Fox News interview Saturday night.

The President told host Jeanine Pirro that he would settle for a Fourth of July parade, too.

"We'll see if we can do it at a reasonable cost. If we can't, we won't do it," Trump said. "The generals would love to do it, I tell you, and so would I."

He failed to say on how much is too much for his fanciful show of force in the streets of Washington or which generals have backed his plan to flaunt service members and instruments of war.

"I think it's great for our country, being a cheerleader, and the spirit," he added.

Trump’s acknowledgement that a parade is not economically feasible follows White House budget director Mick Mulvaney’s budget estimating that the cost could range from $10 million to $30 million.

Trump has attributed his idea for a parade to attending Bastille Day festivities in Paris with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.

"It was quite something, and frankly I think it’s great for spirit,” Trump said.
