Utah Republican wants investigation of controversial TSA encounter with six-year-old
By Elise Viebeck

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) responded Monday on Twitter to reports and videos alleging a six-year-old had been inappropriately searched at the Salt Lake City airport.

The reports, which included video footage of the incident, led the "Drudge Report" for most of the day.

"I am preparing a letter to the Obama administration demanding an investigation," Chaffetz tweeted.

He noted he also wanted details on the "apparent harassment" of the college student, Luke Tait, who took the video. Tait told reporters Monday that he was pressured by TSA employees to delete the recording from his phone.

Chaffetz linked to a radio interview with Tait in another tweet. A member of the House Oversight committee, he represents parts of suburban Salt Lake City, as well as Provo, Utah.

Well talk is cheap it is action that counts...a letter to Obama doesn't mean too much but an actual State investigation into the incident might be good...that's my opinion of course....
