Gotta love our State Department's priorities...fish over freedom.

Ralph Peters: U.S. Sacrifices in Iraq Were All For Naught

    Video at the page link:

RALPH PETERS:When the troops are all gathered in a camp, it's easier to hit them, now when they're stretched out on roads, in a variety vehicles, including a lot of civilian vehicles and clothes. How do you tell them from the refugees? So the only way to do the air strikes is to put special ops spotters on the ground, we're not going to do that. The only real way to stop this onslaught, if the Iraqis can, would be to put troops on the ground, we're not going to do that.

This is President Obama's real legacy. The creation of the first jihadi state in modern history stretching from central Syria to central Iraq and now approaching Baghdad, all because President Obama saw everything from a political lens, he's going to end the war in Iraq, refused to negotiate seriously for a residual U.S. presence.

Just to put this is perspective for viewers. With this jihadi conquest of Mosul. With jihadi forces approaching Baghdad. This is shaping up to be the biggest Arab jihadi victory since the Twelfth Century. 1187 and the fall of Crusader Jerusalem. This is momentous. I can't overstate the importance. Obama's jihadi state in the heart of the Middle East.

    ###

All the death, all the bleeding, all the money. For naught. Simply because Obama saw things in political and not strategic terms. I do have to clarify one thing: Air strikes could help impede the jihadi movement, it's just now that the bees have left the hive, it's harder to find them.

DISCOVERED! Joe Biden’s Material Penned by Secret Team of Off-the-Wall MAD Magazine Comedy Writers

    By Norvell Rose
    1:52 pm June 12, 2014

Just kidding, folks! If MAD Magazine’s comedy writers did come up with Uncle Joe’s material it would be better than what he actually says.
Okay, enough with the humor, because this is really a serious subject — IRAQ IN CHAOS. Americans are now being evacuated because of the extreme danger.
And if the situation in Iraq weren’t so wretched, so awful, so disheartening, it might indeed be funny (in a head-banging sorta way) to consider how our illustrious vice president described the nation’s future in an interview with then-CNN host Larry King a few years back.
From a 2010 interview, in which laugh-a-minute Joe — Obama’s great foreign policy expert and mentor — predicted Iraq could be one of the administration’s “great achievements”. GREAT ACHIEVEMENT?!
Thanks to the Weekly Standard for this ugly reminder of just how insightful, how perceptive, how clear thinking Joe Biden is regarding world events:
“I am very optimistic about — about Iraq. I mean, this could be one of the great achievements of this administration. You’re going to see 90,000 American troops come marching home by the end of the summer. You’re going to see a stable government in Iraq that is actually moving toward a representative government,” said Biden.
“I spent — I’ve been there 17 times now. I go about every two months — three months. I know every one of the major players in all of the segments of that society. It’s impressed me. I’ve been impressed how they have been deciding to use the political process rather than guns to settle their differences.”
With major Iraqi cities falling one after another to al-Qaeda-aligned terrorist forces, with Baghdad a likely target of the determined insurgents, we doubt the vice president would again pull out that old sick joke about the “great achievement” in that failing country.

    NOTE
: Please know we certainly mean no disrespect to MAD Magazine.
