EL PASO -- Two El Pasoans arrested earlier this month were allegedly "brokers" whose job was to connect drug suppliers with transporters, DEA officials revealed.

Bernardo Favela, 33, and Enrique Sifuentes, 37, are accused of recruiting and organizing drivers to transport drug loads from El Paso to cities on the East Coast. Bulk cash shipments of drug proceeds would then be shipped to El Paso, officials said.

Three men from Charleston, Mo., and one man from Kalamazoo, Mich., were also arrested in the case.
