Two El Paso men arrested in drug trafficking ring

EL PASO - Two El Pasoans have been arrested for allegedly being part in a cocaine and marijuana trafficking ring, the U.S. Attorney's Office said Thursday.

Bernardo Favela, 33, and Enrique Sifuentes, 37, were arrested a week ago after an investigation by agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Favela, of the 11700 block of Oxcart Run, and Sifuentes, of the 1200 block of Olga Mapula, are held without bond, according to jail records.

The ring allegedly distributed more than 200 pounds of marijuana and more than 10 pounds of cocaine between November 2008 and last June.

Also arrested were Woodrow Chapman, 32, of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Henry Davis, 44, Chedowry Thomas, 33, and Dontay Clark, 25, all of Charleston, Mo.
