I rarely buy things over the net. If I need something, I prefer to go to the store and do the touchy-feely inspection before buying. But even that is not safe these days, as there have been reports that anyone with a laptop and a special program sitting in the parking lot can grab the card info after the card is swiped and goes through satellite communication for approval.
