Disneyland reached maximum capacity and sold out by 10 am

December 29th, 2010 11:29 am ET.

Tuesday, Disneyland in Anaheim, California sold out just two hours after opening for the second day in a row. The park reached its maximum capacity within two hours of opening and had to turn guests away. Although Disneyland will not release the maximum number of people they did say that they stopped selling tickets at 10 am on Tuesday. Disneyland is typically busy during the weekend between Christmas and New Years.

"This stoppage is fairly typical for us during our holiday peak period," said Betty Sanchez a spokeswoman for Disneyland. "Certainly we want all of our guests to have the best guest experience, so we have measures in place to make sure that we deliver the best time."

They began to refer people to sister park, California Adventure, but they sold out as well.

"We stopped selling tickets briefly at the California Adventure, as well," she said.

Sanchez said great weather coupled with holiday deals helped lure more people to the parks.
