Apparently it's not enough to record and listen every phone call and e-mail.

Now they want to develop a "science" that will allow authorities to scan brains for suspects.

Sound crazy?

Of course it is, but here are two things to pay attention to:

1. The Soviet Union called its dissidents "mental patients" and put them in psychiatric cases and "treated" them with dugs and isolation.

2. The "science" of drugging kids to make them more compliant in school has ensnared millions of children and their families - and there is not one shred of science to back it up.
