ROCK HILL Rock Hill parents face charges after investigators found a baby living in a house being used as a meth lab.
The smell of chemicals used to make methamphetamines was so strong agents with the York County Multi-jurisdictional Drug Unit had to wait hours for the hazardous materials to be cleared before they could search the residence.
It’s the second time in less than a year the baby’s parents have been charged with making methamphetamines and child abuse-related charges, said Lt. Mike Ligon. Last April, investigators say they found a meth lab in bedroom of pregnant mother.
Acting on a tip drug agents searched the 360 Foxlair Court residence of David Manny Henson Jr., 38, and Bobbie Jo Wulf Henson, 42, Tuesday night. They found a 7-month-old living in the house.
Officers took the Henson’s 7-month-old child into emergency protective custody Tuesday night because of hazardous chemical smell inside the house.
