Retiring Justice Souter's replacement.

As we know, retiring Justice Souter's replacement will go through a gruelling public questioning period by both Republican and Democrat Senators on the Senate committee that investigates Supreme Court Justice nominees.

The gruelling questioning period will probably be televised.

Just wondering: Will a Republican Senator on the committee have the guts to ask Obama's nominee the following questions:

1. Could you please present your long form birth certificate, because we want to make sure that you are who you say you are?

2. Birth hospital: Could you please tell us the name of the hospital where you were born?

3. Birth hospital records: Could you please release your
birth hospital records to the committee and the public so that, again, we can be sure that you are who you say you are?

4. College Records: Could you please release your college records to the committee and the public so that we can examine your academic credentials to become a Supreme Court Justice?

5. Elected government officials: Do you think that a person running for federal public office---such as a person running for Senator or Representative---should be required to show his long form birth certificate to the public and release his college records?

Will a Senator have the guts/courage to ask Obama's Supreme Court nominee the questions above?

Or, will Hell freeze over before a Senator has the courage to step up to the plate and ask Obama's nominee the questions above?

I say Hell will freeze over first.
