Urgent Action Needed TODAY to Stop Cap and Trade

A vote is coming to the House floor later today that will drastically change the everyday lives of all Americans, and not for the better. The bill, which will implement "cap and trade" polices in the energy industry, would open the door to massive government regulation of our day-to-day lives. Just look at what the Heritage Foundation has to say about the Cap and Trade Bill:

Make no mistake about it. . .this bill affects EVERYBODY. Not just conservatives, or liberals; Republicans, or Democrats. This bill will raise the cost of living by THOUSANDS of dollars EACH YEAR for every American family.

This is why we must take action now!

Conservative author and radio host Mark Levin, who called this bill a "direct assault" on the people of America, has identified 25 Representatives in Congress who are waffling on this issue.

Please call them RIGHT NOW and tell them to vote "NO" on Cap and Trade.

"Hi, my name is [your name], and I am deeply worried about the impact of Cap and Trade legislation on my life and the economy, including the massive tax increase that would result. I strongly urge Representative [Name of Rep.] to vote 'NO' on the 'Waxman-Markey' bill. Thank you for taking my call."

By taking away jobs and increasing the cost of living, this Cap and Trade bill is an attack on the daily lives of all U.S. citizens. This terrible law will pass or fail in the House of Representatives later today by a few votes. It's that close.

Thank you. I'll spend some time on this. I have CNN on in the background and hearing the divergent claims between Democrats and Republicans is startling.

Bottom line -this is not even close to ready to become law. The costs appear to be too high.

There is still hope - against this massive Cap Manufacturing and Trade jobs out of country bill.

Melissa Bean (IL 8th Dist) - office wouldn't say which way she would vote.

staffer from Bartlett office says the vote has been pulled because some 30 Dems have said they are voting no and now the Dem leadership doesnt think they have the votes to pass

It took me a long time to get through to both Simpson)R) and Minnick(D) and they are both voting NO on this bill. During the morning CSPAN was taking calls from constituents. Everybody is against this bill, even the Democrats. Lifetime Democrats said that if this bill passes, they will never vote Democrat again. Independents said the same thing. Obama and this Democrat Congress are digging their own political grave.

Bartlett is a NO vote and Castle is still in question!
I told Castle to be true to his Republican roots and vote NO!

I heard they added 306 pages in the past few hours. They cant even read through what they have already. I wouldnt be surprised if they added some kind of amnesty to the bill since no one is alowed to read it. I wonder if the meeting at the WH thursday has anything to do with the cap & trade bill.
